What we did today!

April 15 2010 TAX DAY!

The children had a wonderful time. We went to the Park and played for about an hour.  We haven't been to the park since last summer so it was a special time. Then we went to McDonalds. The children decided on their own meal. We also played in the slide and tunnels. (I got stuck but we didn't have to call 911 LOL)

Our Turdle Dove bird is back from last year. Shes laying on her eggs. We were able to pet her.  The sky and trees are full of birds.

By the time we returned to the daycare, all the children were ready for a nap, they helped each other wash up and quickly fell to sleep.

When the children woke up, we had our PM snack. After snack we used a old box opened it up all the way and all the children colored on it. Each child was able to express themselves.

Later we played on the deck, rode bikes and ran all over. The children had a great time. re walk. Earlier in the day (on our way to McDonalds) we found a bird nest with a mommy bird sitting on her eggs. The branch was low enough that we could lift the children up and they actually saw the bird in her nest. We took a picture which I'll down load later.

The books we shared were "When you give a Mouse a Cookie" The children know so many of our books by heart. These are early reading skills. The children have wonderful imaginations.

Well that was just part of our exciting day. I look forward to more exciting days at Peek-a-Boo Daycare.       Betsy
